What do we really do to our skin??

What do we really do to our skin??

I, like most people, believed that using products that were advertised as helping your skin, making your skin healthier, clearer, fresher looking, giving you a healthy glow and of course in later years helping your skin stay young looking, helping with wrinkles, were products l wanted to be using on my skin. Well now l know better and we all need to know exactly what we are putting on our skin, bodies and heads.

Companies are often using chemicals in their products that are causing us health problems. Many years ago l became quite ill and couldn’t understand why l was tired, lethargic and l found l was constantly scratching my arms and legs. Many tests later l found it was caused by formaldehyde. Did you know that many of the Brazilian Keratin hair straightening products that are now on the market contain high levels of formaldehyde in them?

Nail polishes, nail polish removers and artificial nail products contain a host of toxic chemicals. Have you ever had a reaction after having your nails done? I know many clients that have. The lipstick you are using could contain lead and we all know that’s not good for us. Companies don’t have to list when putting out a new fragrance what is in them, as this is well kept a secret. Fragrance manufacturers don’t want fragrant notes to be copied so really they can put in what they want, often consisting of dozens of synthetic chemical compounds. So is it no wonder you can’t explain a breakout, rash or sensitivity you may have because you have used the same products for years so it can’t be a reaction to a new product. Well it can be a build up over a period of time that now is showing up.

Take a look at your products and check what you are putting on your face and body making sure it is safe for you to be using. Really, you wouldn’t eat something that you know is toxic so why would you put it on your face or body???
